			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A long, long, long, long, long time ago an artist said &#8220;Let there be light.&#8221; His finger punctured the nothing and all manner of matter rushed in&#8230; rather rapidly. Seconds passed. Atoms formed like tiny templates for solar systems. After many, many eons some of these swirling bits found themselves with heartbeats, and heartbeats have rhythm.</p>
<p>So every breathing baby is born a musical instrument. There are many reasons why and methods by which some children grow up to refine, or <em>define</em> the song playing inside of them. We stretch animal skins over gourds and steel strings over maple. We place ourselves in the agile vehicles of melody and hope to reach new territory.</p>
<p>With gratitude we are letting you know that we have given birth to ten songs with certain lifespans. They are newborns, here for your knowing if you choose to know them.</p>
